I didn’t serve as a Marine because I was a Republican or a Democrat
I served because I was an American
I took an oath to protect my fellow citizens and our constitution.
The definition of citizen didn’t define race, sexual preference, weight, class, religion, whether they’re left handed or green eyed, country of origin or favorite music or football team.
The only thing that mattered was that I took an oath and my honor was my gift to my fellow citizens, man, women or child.
I’ve honored my oath 24 years after my service and will continue to honor it until I die.
I honor it because we all deserve liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness.
