Off the Ropes

I’ve been triggering pretty hardcore the past few days and recovery is a lonely task.

Not that anyone knows because most people won’t let it show.

Not that anyone knows because most people don’t care to know.

Condolences is what you get and that too familiar look of “get a grip”.

Patience is profound when seeking the mentally sound and it is with patience that I fight these many rounds.

So many fights
So many tickets
With such an audience of so many critics.

With so many in my corner as I stand alone.

Is there any wonder why the ring is my home.

I like crowded corners too.

I’ll keep fighting until I get back to you.

Just keep the spectators off the ropes and I’ll keep working on hope.
