Two words guide a lot of how I interact in Hawai’i.
“Small Island”
In my case the degrees of separation are super small because of the massive network of in-laws that exist in my family.
Because of this it has always been a wise practice to put my best foot forward as much as I can control.
On a small island everyone seems to have a few mutual friends or family members and the coconut wireless is practically instantaneous.
And so with practically every interaction I repeat this mantra.
“Small Island”
Two words that keep me humble and remind me that my actions reflect on so many more than just myself.
